Accountabilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery across the generative building model, geometry processing pipeline, and platform APIs.
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing European engineering team specializing in computational geometry and CAD technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to evaluate requirements, assess technical feasibility, identify constraints, and define implementation strategies.
- Review and guide technical proposals, architectural decisions, and engineering initiatives to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Coordinate with engineering leadership across regions to maintain alignment on technical direction, platform standards, and system interfaces.
- Drive the evolution of API contracts and integrations between core modeling systems and visualization, rendering, and interaction platforms.
- Foster an asynchronous, ownership-driven engineering culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Support the adoption of modern development practices, including AI-assisted engineering workflows and scalable software delivery processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial work in computational geometry, CAD/CAM, or related technical domains.
- 2+ years of experience managing highly technical engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in computational geometry concepts such as BReps, boolean operations, mesh processing, constraint solving, dependency graphs, or similar areas.
- Strong experience building and maintaining parametric and generative modeling systems for complex 2D and 3D geometries.
- Proven understanding of feature-based modeling, history graphs, dependency propagation, and robust geometry systems at scale.
- Experience designing and developing platforms and APIs serving multiple internal and external consumers.
- Familiarity with commercial, open-source, or custom geometry kernels and their associated trade-offs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly within distributed and cross-functional environments.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex technical projects in fast-paced remote organizations.
- Residence within a European time zone.
- Experience with architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or homebuilding software is considered a strong advantage.
